Also, this resetting of portals was disorienting and often times made me quite dizzy. Propelling Chell hundreds of feet was fascinating and intrigued the physics in me.
These levels required me to shoot a starter portal, then a secondary portal, obviously, then once I was through the first set of portals I would have to destroy one portal while creating a new one in the process in order for my jumps to work effectively. My creativity using the portals came into play during the advanced levels. Although this game is very simple, there was a lot going on and much to think about in terms of: how to get from one side of the map to the other?-how do I grab the various personality cores during the boss stage? I have to say that the mental engagement required for the completion of this game was something I have been looking for in a game for a long time now. Get it? Well, I began by priming my portal skills on level 11, the last level saved, and continued through towards the end of the game for 2 hours exactly.
My determination to complete one task this evening led me to portal my energy to finish Portal.
The time is 22:30 on this Wednesday night.
